Mental health and it's treatment should be destigmatized, we need to move away from the ideology that people who suffer from mental illness of any sort are not normal, or are less than. We need to treat and address mental illness no differently than we do physical illness.

The TED story
As a student at the university many of the lectures I experienced in class were enhanced by ted talks which I was always very fond of. I dreamed of being a TED speaker and after investigation found out I could apply to host my own TEDx Event. In March of 2017 I applied for a license and was accepted in April of 2017. Now, I am the founder and Head organizer of TEDxUTampa. It is an experience I both value and deeply enjoy.
