The TED story

When I was 19, I saw my first TED talk, "What Makes a Great Talk, Great," given by Chris Anderson at TEDGlobal in 2013. I had just finished high school and was trying to learn a few things about public speaking at the time. Since then, I've watched over 500 TED talks, and I can confidently say that TED has shaped the majority of my life ideas. After being inspired by a few local TEDx events such as TEDxNkana and TEDxLusaka, I finally decided to apply for a TEDx license in 2021 to organize a TEDx event at my university. When my application was approved, I was overjoyed.
