Daniela Busse (Ph.D.) - Head of Incubator Research, Meta.
Daniela Busse focuses on research and incubation of breakthrough, people-centered innovations and future experiences in roles
such as Facebook Head of Incubator Research at Meta, VP of Research & Strategy at Wells Fargo, eBay's Head of Design Research,
Director of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships at Citi Ventures, as Design Futurist and Innovation Lab Director at Samsung
Research America, Experience Innovation Director at SAP’s Office of the CEO, and as Design Researcher at Microsoft’s Office Design
Group. Through her award-winning work, she defines ground-breaking new uses and designs for technologies, for future roadmap
ideation and product experience incubation. She received her Ph.D. in Computing Science from Glasgow University (Scotland, UK),
and also her summa cum laude degrees in both Computing Science and Psychology. She holds multiple patents, is a sought-after speaker,
and has published frequently in the field of Product, Technology & Design Research and Innovation. She held roles on multiple non-profit board of directors, most recently as President of the Board of IXDASF, a non-profit organization of over 10.000 designers, as well as as
Director on the board of GABA, Silicon Valley’s German American Business Association, a catalyst of transatlantic knowledge,
partnership, network, and technology transfer with support by the German government, Germany’s consul of San Francisco, and
multiple well established technology companies on both sides of the Atlantic (incl. Intel, SAP Labs, Frog Design, Mercedes Benz,
BMW, Airbus, Volkswagen, Porsche, Siemens, Bosch, and more).
