Bio

With a foundation in psychology and a passion for understanding the human experience in a world of rapid change, Megan blends foresight and experience design to help people and organizations envision—and prepare for—the futures ahead. She develops provocative, data-driven forecasts across industries including Consumer, Healthcare, Education, and Government. By pioneering emerging practices such as affective foresight, she explores how human cognition and emotion shape the ways we imagine and prepare for the future. At the heart of her work is a simple purpose: to help people navigate complexity and the unknown. She uncovers insights and emerging patterns, fosters inclusive collaboration, and co-creates futures that bring clarity, inspire action, drive meaningful outcomes, and drive human progress and environmental health.

I'm passionate about

I believe the future belongs to those who combine imagination & creativity with insight. My passion lies in integrating strategic foresight, psychology, and experience design to envision what's next—and to craft innovative, human-centered solutions that address emerging challenges and move society forward in a rapidly evolving world. Topics: Affective & Neuro-foresight, neuroscience, human connection

An idea worth spreading

One of the defining characteristics of being human is our ability to think long-term about the future. “If you can’t be optimistic, be hopeful. If you can’t be hopeful, be determined” Any statement that is useful about the future should seem ridiculous at first.

The TED story

As a foresight consultant, I apply future-oriented thinking to help organizations understand and prepare for potential changes and opportunities. Through this work, I’ve seen how bold thinking reshapes industries—and I joined TED to spark that same transformation on a global stage. To me, being a TED Member means contributing to conversations that matter. I collaborate with fellow changemakers to discuss ideas around well-being, leadership, and sustainability. It is often said that strategic foresight is not just advantageous but essential for leadership in this transformative era. TED amplifies that same ethos. Here, I connect with educators reimagining classrooms, scientists advancing positive health outcomes, and public servants driving change in government. Together, we push forward solutions that shape a better world for the next generation. In short, I became a member because TED’s community is defined by “a desire to help build a better future”—exactly the cause I live for.
