Bio

Jennifer Sullivan is a marketing and media executive focused on the evolving intersection of music, technology, and culture. Her work explores how emerging formats, fan behaviors, and new distribution models are reshaping the future of media. Jennifer is President, North America and Global Chief Marketing Officer at KiTbetter, where she leads the company’s expansion across the U.S. market while shaping its global marketing vision and brand strategy. She works closely with artists, labels, and partners across music, film, retail, and publishing to expand the reach of the KiTalbum, a hybrid physical and digital format designed to restore ownership, collectibility, and deeper fan engagement in the streaming era. Earlier in her career, Jennifer spent more than fourteen years at the entertainment marketing agency memBrain, developing cultural marketing programs for global brands including Hasbro, Intel, McDonald’s, Logitech, and Samsung, and collaborating with artists such as Demi Lovato, BLACKPINK, will.i.am, and Nicole Scherzinger. She is also the founder and former editor-in-chief of The STORM Report, a trends publication that tracked emerging artists and cultural shifts across music, technology, and retail. Through this work she helped spotlight early movements in fandom, innovation, and the evolving relationship between artists and audiences. Jennifer previously delivered a TEDx talk titled Frictionology, exploring how industries evolve when they confront resistance to change. Her work today focuses on the future of music ownership, collectibility, and human connection in an increasingly digital world.

The TED story

I was invited to speak at the inaugural TEDxChampmanU event: "Icons, Geniuses, and Mavericks" in 2012, with the topic "Frictionology." My talk explored the the rise of consumer-centric marketing and the downfall of brands too slow to evolve with the changing tide. It's been interesting to revisit that presentation in light of how much the world has changed over the past decade.
