About Ed
Bio
As an experienced professional with over 25 years in the visual effects (VFX) and film, TV, and advertising production industries, I am passionate about deploying emerging technologies to innovate how films are made. I have led global teams of up to 2,000 visual effects professionals spanning four countries and managed P&L operations with nine-figure budgets. My expertise includes launching and managing major visual effects studios, partnering closely with world-class filmmakers, large-scale motion picture project management, advising multiple billion-dollar organizations on M&A and investment activities, and advising tech startups.
I am proud to have led Oscar-winning VFX teams and collaborated with some of the most talented professionals on blockbuster films like Top Gun: Maverick, Avengers: Infinity Wars, Black Panther, Suicide Squad, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and Titanic, among many others. I also produced the epic sci-fi movie Ender’s Game and spearheaded the groundbreaking "Tupac Shakur Hologram" project for Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, which earned top industry accolades.
Named one of Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business and one of Ad Age’s Creativity Top 50: the 50 most influential and creative thinkers and doers in advertising and design; I have been honored to speak at conferences and corporate events including TED, NASA, SXSW, Sundance, Apple, Google, and more.
