Bio
Hollie Carr, Communications Specialist, currently leads IBM External Relations for Research, Development and Innovation in the UK. Having worked in China before cultivating a breath of skills across the Communications discipline, Hollie has led a number of activites at IBM over the last 5+ years and prides herself on the results achieved. Roles include Editor of Communications at IBM Hursley, the largest software development Lab in Europe, then focusing on strategy and delivering tactical activities for the 20,000+ employees in IBM UK Internal Communications. Having filed and published patent invention disclosures herself, Hollie led an integrated 'Innovation ecosystem' campaign in the UK to inspire innovation in the workforce and share innovation leadership externally. Hollie continues to apply this passion for innovation in a globally integrated role, working with R&D Labs around the world to provide access to IBM's innovation leadership outside of the organisation. In additional to being recognised nationally as a top Women in Technology, Hollie was also selected for the IBM's global Leadership Development Programme, working with an excellent geo-diverse team to win the strategic project presentations and implement their strategy globally.

I love TED! TEDGlobal 2009 was my first TED experience and was the highlight of my year, and I hope that I can continue to be involved far into the future. I love meeting such a broad range of passionate people who are making a real difference, pioneering their ideas, dreams and interests.
