Currently pursuing Computer Science at St. Xaviers College, Maitighar. Despite the technical background, I feel social work has given me a view of life that I otherwise would not have. My calling to social issues has been since my school days itself when we used to collect money every weekend for donation. My strength is organizing and conducting events, interacting with different stakeholders from policymakers to grassroots activists. I am also the Co-founder of Project Abhaya, dedicated to eliminating violence against women, and a four-time TEDx Licensee in Nepal, I have facilitated impactful conversations. Furthermore, I have served as an executive member at the National Youth Council Model United Nations, as the First Secretary General in the first-ever national Model United Nations, contributing to youth engagement and diplomacy in the 77 districts with over 500+ youth of the country which consisted of 60% female participation.

I'm really passionate about making a difference in people's lives, you know? Whether it's lending a hand in my community, standing up for causes close to my heart, or just being there for friends when they need support, it's where I find my joy. And hey, I'm always eager to learn and grow personally too. Trying new things, picking up new skills, even if it means stumbling along the way – it's all part of the journey for me. At the end of the day, I just want to do my bit and leave the world a little better than I found it.

An idea worth spreading is the power of empathy. In a world where division and misunderstanding seem to be all too common, empathizing with others can be a transformative force. By putting ourselves in someone else's shoes, we not only gain a deeper understanding of their experiences and perspectives but also foster connection, compassion, and ultimately, positive change. Embracing empathy can lead to more meaningful relationships, greater social harmony, and a kinder, more inclusive society for all.

For 12 years, I found my home in an all-girls school, where I flourished academically and took on leadership roles with enthusiasm. Our little world was one of mutual respect and support, and I truly believed in the strength of female leadership, shaped by my experiences during those formative years. However, everything changed when I entered a co-ed undergraduate environment. Suddenly, I was met with prejudice. When I expressed my intention to run for Captaincy, a male peer dismissed me, saying, "You, a girl, don't have what it takes to lead." His words made me question myself: "Is he right?" As I delved into the world beyond our school walls, I couldn't ignore the glaring male dominance in politics, both in the news and in the corridors of power. Women were often sidelined or their voices drowned out, despite their competence. These experiences fueled a fire within me to seek a TEDx license and step into a leadership role. Drawing on my experiences nurturing leaders through Model United Nations (MUNs), I saw an opportunity to make a difference. MUNs provided a platform for both genders to share ideas and engage in debate. Through this initiative, I mentored over 500 aspiring female leaders, empowering them to embrace true leadership. This journey led me to support a young woman from Rukum in finding her voice and providing her a platform to share it. Through my dedication to Project Abhaya, from organizing TEDx Maitighar to hosting Empowerment Workshops, I've emerged as a leader, overcoming the doubts that once plagued me. Today, the question "Do I have what it takes?" has transformed into a confident affirmation: "I do, and so do countless other women beside me."

You know, it's kind of funny - people don't always realize how awesome I am at things. Maybe it's because I'm not out there shouting it from the rooftops! But hey, whether it's my ninja-like problem-solving skills, my attention to detail that would make Sherlock Holmes proud, or my ability to charm even the grumpiest of cats, I've got some serious talent tucked up my sleeve. I guess I just need to find more ways to let my awesomeness shine, you know? It's not about being a show-off; it's just making sure folks appreciate the full extent of my fabulousness.
