Public servant

Presently, I serve as an Adult Services Librarian at Barrington Area Library. Born and raised in the Chicago area, I attended the University of Illinois at Champaign- Urbana, where I earned a M.Ed. in Education and a MLS in Library and Information Science. I am married to a scientist and have two children and one grandson. After serving as an Associate Academic Librarian in a college where I in wrote papers, spoke at conferences, and participated in associations, I entered the public library field.

keeping up with technology and new trends in my professional career, engaging in lifelong learning, and spending time with my six year old grandson. Also, I love to garden, sail, canoe, and read. Traveling to different areas to learn the history and culture fascinates me. I am most passionate about preserving open land and love to walk in forest preserves. I’m an avid mystery fan.
