About Jasmine

Bio

Founder, consultant, panelist, multilinguist, writer, community volunteer, and award winner – Jasmine Beard is crown jewel to all who know her. She has the innate gift to think long term and plan short term all while setting measurable and attainable goals realistic for any brand – small or large – for-profit, or nonprofit. Her uncanny ability to strategically position organizations for short- and long-term success are rivaled by only the best strategic consultants in the world. In 2018, Jasmine founded a strategic management consulting firm, AJOY Consulting, LLC, that helps entrepreneurs and small- to medium-sized businesses increase productivity and enhance the customers experience by designing high-performing teams with a people-centric approach. Although she began her career in corporate America, and worked for organizations such as Bank of America, Vitacost, Anomaly Squared, and Volvo Group North America, her experience has never been limited to her day job. She has given back to her community through servant leadership in a variety of organizations including, Triad Adult & Pediatric Medicine (7 years), Junior Chamber International (5 years), and International Association of Women Greensboro Chapter (4 years), all in a variety of roles including president, board member, vice and committee chairs, VP and EVP, and state regional director. Professionally, Jasmine has excelled in advancing the acknowledgement and recruitment of women in male-dominated industries through involvement and leadership or career-oriented organizations, Women in Trucking, Volvo Group North America’s task force and professional networks. Currently, she serves in the capacity of TEDx Greensboro Co-Organizer, ReStore Committee Chair for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro, Executive Committee Member for Weatherspoon Art Museum, and Triad Adult & Pediatric Medicine Board Vice Chair, and Campaign Manager for Hugh Holston’s successful bid for Greensboro City Councilman At-Large. A self-taught multilinguist, Jasmine spoke and read fluent Spanish by the age of 16; by her third year of college, she had gained fluency in Portuguese and French. Her ever-growing desire to leave the world a better place than she found it has led her to pursue opportunities around the world in Asia, Europe and Central and South America. Jasmine’s ambitious and proactive selfstarter attitude was quickly recognized at the start of her career with Volvo Group and led to being handpicked by the North America President to cultivate a high-performance culture and develop video content for the Executive Management team in Sweden. She believes that “an individual’s growth means nothing if planted seeds are not sown for others along the way,” and she lives that out in her daily life through her active engagement in the community and giving back through service. In addition to inspirational speaking and multiple guest appearances on podcasts and webinars, Jasmine recently authored articles for Black Business Ink and Give It to The People Magazines. She has received numerous accolades including, Greensboro Chamber’s 2020 Minority Small Businessperson of the Year, Black Business Ink’s 40 Under 40 Most Influential African American in 2020, Top 5 Local Chapter President by N.C. Junior Chamber International in 2020, and Greensboro Police Department’s Citizens Service Merit Award. She is a recent nominee for Greensboro Chamber’s 2021 Small Businessperson of the Year and the People’s Choice Small Business Award, Junior Chamber International U.S.A.’s 2021 Top 3 Innovative Visionary President & Top 5 Local Chapter President. Jasmine enjoys spending time with her daughter, cooking, dancing, traveling, serving her community, learning new skills, and helping others grow beyond their perceived limitations.
