10 years of experience in communication and project management, most of which I developed at the world’s largest laboratory, CERN. I have led teams and projects of diverse scope, from developing the first communication plan for one of the largest scientific collaborations in the world, ATLAS, to producing larger conferences such as TEDxCERN, whose videos have more than 13 million views combined. While working towards bridging the gap between scientific and technological development to public knowledge, I grew interested in learning how these advances could be put to use for the social good. Hence, I am currently part of the first cohort in Social Innovation at Cambridge Judge Business School in UK, conducting a research on collaborative methodologies used by innovation labs. Additionally, I am trained and have worked extensively as a photographer, including publishing two award-winning photo books on particle physics: Exploring the mystery of Matter and Hunting the Higgs and I am an amateur filmmaker.

Markus Nordberg, then my boss, was invited to be one of the speakers at the very first TEDx that took place in March 23, 2008 at USC S in Los Angeles. He asked me to help out with the visuals for his talk. We decided to create a video based story about the "voyage into the unknown" with focus on the human endeavor of the ATLAS collaboration with more than 3.000 physicists. That day, I decided to bring TED to the CERN community. CERN is about to host its 5th edition of TEDxCERN. The event was host by important figures in the scientific community such as nobel prize George Smoot and well known physicist Brian Cox. Our line-up of speakers included medical doctors, biologists, material engineers, oceanographers, inventors, innovators, musicians, performers and of course astro and particle physicists. Among them George Church, Neil Gershenfeld and Imogen Heap to name few. 9 of these talks have been featured on ted.com. Combined the videos we produced have received more than 13million views. Although thousands attended the events in person, many more have joined through one of our 60 webcast locations around the world. I hope to be helping create a platform of exchange, in which important information are bought to the attention to the public, triggering informed conversations to take place. I am a firmer believer that only by sharing we can grow. It has been a great learning experience and I look forward to more.
