Networking is alpha and the omega. It is so important to learn and refine our connection skills in business and life in general. Tips on things that have worked for me: --Always be nice to people. You never know whom they know. --Always make friends with the least likely of folks in the workplace; namely, administrative assistants, cafeteria workers, security guards and the janitorial staff. These folks are the insiders and gatekeepers if you will. They know everything and everybody. --Always carry business cards. Put them in your car, your briefcase and your wallet. You never know who you may run into. It may just be that angel investor you've been waiting for --Embrace technology create an online presence. I started this company with $50 and tips from my cousin who turned me on to a wealth of free to low cost resources available online. --Don't be afraid to blog and get your message and marketing out there. --Never prejudge people.
