Bio

Fernanda Espinoza Echevarría is founder of Proyecta Mentory, an organization dedicated to mentoring students so they can create their own businesses or social projects. Proyecta Mentory is recognized by SENAJU, the database of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, and the Municipality of Lima; it is also funded by the Global Youth Action Fund of Bacallaret International. Proyecta Mentory has had distinguished guest mentors such as UC Berkeley professor Dr. Dan García. Fernanda holds a degree in executive mentoring from the Autonomous University of Madrid and has participated in various educational programs and courses, such as the HarvardX "Technology Entrepreneurship: Lab to Market" course; captain of the English team in the National School Debate Team in 2023; Vice President of the Board of Directors and representative of the 2023 School Parliament; member of the New York Academy of Sciences in the 1000 Girls, 1000 Futures, and The Junior Academy programs; and Ambassador for Harvard Undergraduate International Relations Scholar Program, among others. She is also a prominent speaker at Global Peace Organization forums, a winner of the TEDucation competition three years in a row, and a TEDx organizer. Her most notable achievement is winning first place in the UNESCO Clubs Worldwide Youth Multimedia Competition 2024 for SDG 8. In the competition, which had over 8,000 entrants from over 116 countries, she presented her organization, “Proyecta Mentory,” as an alternative solution for “Decent Work and Economic Growth.”
