Financial Literacy is a large problem in the United States and the rest of the world. At the time of writing, student loans are upward of $1.6 trillion. The average American between thirty-five and fifty-five owes more than $130,000 - excluding mortgage payments. America's GDP is touted as the highest of any nation in modern history by some. However, according to the 2015 Standard & Poor's Global Financial Literacy Survey, America ranks fourteen globally. On the surface, this does not seem bad. Yet, when taking a closer look at the data, anyone can see that America lags behind most other first-world economies, with 57% of adults being financial literate.
