Bio

Jayamini showed the signs of an entrepreneur, a trainer, a healer and a spiritual teacher at incredibly young age. She was able to go in deep meditation at age of 3 years. At age 16 she was earning money for her expenses, doing daily meditation, conducting motivational training for school children, volunteering to clean hospitals and guiding people for health and wellbeing. Her first Satori (a Zen Buddhist term for awakening experience ‘seeing one’s true nature’) experience at age 11 during a sport meet in the local junior school she was attending. Youngest child of a lower middle-class family, Jayamini was the best hope of her parents for worldly success. She was totally committed to her studies as she fully believed that it would bring a smile to her hard-working mothers face. Jayamini’s mother was a schoolteacher and she was the most influential character in her life which guided her on the path of enlightenment at an early age. The strict discipline and religious background never restricted little Jayamini asking strange existential questions from her mother; she was continuously on a quest of finding out ‘who am I?’ and ‘what is my purpose in life?’. She had her first experience with NLP – Neuro Linguistic Programming - at the age 18, and this had a lasting impact on her life. She won the Best Personality Award in the International Leadership and Self Development Association driven by a known trainer on NLP in the country during that time. She passed Grade 5 scholarship and entered the leading Girl’s school in the country, and completed the GCE O/L and A/L with distinctions for all grades. In year 2000 she entered one of leading universities in the country and enrolled herself into an Accountancy degree. While performing very well in her academic endeavors, she was deeply interested in meditation, yoga and philosophy. She was spending more time in the philosophy section in the library while other students were engrossed in learning economics, commerce, and accountancy. During this age, she had a ‘love at first sight’ experience; this love life was adding a significant value to who she was becoming. Her life focus drifted into new direction when she was 21. Se was influenced by the book called “Path of Love” by Osho, and she was deepening her spiritual quest while playing all her social roles; always making an odd impact on everyone else for better. Since Accountancy was not making her happy, Jayamini started learning Marketing, IT and HRM; ending up gaining professional qualifications in these subject areas, including Chartered Institute of Marketing, and Australian Computer Society. She was enrolled into the MBA in HRM at Postgraduate Institute of Management in Sri Lanka, the most prestigious institute in the country for postgraduate studies. She completed the MBA (HRM) with a Merit Pass at the age of 27. Age 26-29 was a turnaround time of Jayamini’s life; she was married to the love of her live at age 25, then went through a separation from that relationship while suffering with depression. The depression led her on a new path where she began to find ways to help herself to heal. Her deep psychological pain enabled her to find the purpose in life; she quit the well paid corporate job as a sales manager for an international airlines and started her own business specializing in HR Training, Coaching, Hypnotherapy, and Energy Healing. In the process of finding help for her suffering, she ended up healing thousands of people both in Sri Lanka and overseas though her training, coaching, therapy, and healing work. She also appeared in several TV shows on personal development. Her life took a serious turn at age 27, which led her in a path towards NLP Certification. Jayamini was known as the "NLP Lady" in Sri Lanka, she pioneered NLP and Applied Psychology based Coaching, corporate training, Certification Programs in Sri Lanka. It is very well known that Jayamini is the pioneer of professional NLP Certification Training in Sri Lanka. 2018 and 2019 were yet another transformative years of Jayamini’s life. At the end of 2018, Jayamini was to enroll in a new program that would have taken her to international stage, but at the same time, she contacted Dengue fever. At this time, she started to go deeper into Buddhist teachings. She attained the full self-realization during the month of November 2019 while engaging in a meditation retreat guided by a known Buddhist bhikku in Sri Lanka. And she started letting go of all worldly attachments, including the physical body. However, in that moment she was about to leave her body, she felt a deep compassion for all sentient beings, then she made a conscious choice to come back as a new sense of self, and declared her new identity as JayaShri Maathaa. She now focuses on spreading the gift of awareness to all mankind; She conducts intensive and interactive online coaching, meditation and training programs for those who are on the path of spirituality and self-seeking

An idea worth spreading

Mind is the forerunner of all positive and negative experiences. Mind is the moderating variable which fluctuate human experience from good to bad. Therefore, a true seeker or an intelligent person someday understands that this constant battle between good and bad thoughts also is a huge tension and it does not free a human living life to the fullest. One moment, the person can feel happy and feeling top of the world and next moment it is not so. This duality can cause the human being to suffer endlessly and with brief moments of gratifications during a life time. At the end dying without even knowing what exactly it meant to be a human and true meaning of life/existence. Therefore, as much as a human learns to do positive/good things which brings positive outcomes and refrain from negative/bad things which gives negative outcomes, a human must learn how to come to the zero point; in other words how to stop the mind. Only by learning how to stop the mind, a human can fully experience the life. Such a human lives life fully to an extent the mind of such a human will need not have a re-becoming experience. They lie live fully and end it completely peacefully leaving the greatest message to mankind, i.e how to liberate fully from suffering in life and be enlightened. "සබ්බ පාපස්ස අකරණං කුසලස්ස උපසම්පදා සචිත්ත පරියොදපනං එතං බුද්ධානසාසනං" ධම්මපදය, 183 ගාථාව “Sabba pāpassa akaranan, Kusalassa upasampadā, Sacitta pariyō dapanan, Etan Buddhānasāsanan” Dhammapada, Verse 183 To cease from all evil To cultivate good To purify one's mind This is the advice of all the Buddhas
