About Trang

Bio

Trang has over 15 years of experience working in the non-profit sector. Trang is currently the Director for Newcomer Engagement and Global Strategies at YMCA of the USA. YMCA of the USA is the national resource office for the 2,700 Ys serving more than 22 million people in 10,000 communities across the country. Prior to working at YMCA of the USA, she spent eight years with the YMCA of Greater Long Beach working with immigrant youth and families. As the Director for Newcomer Engagement and Global Strategies, Trang leads and coordinates efforts to strengthen the capacity of local Ys to work with newcomer-immigrant communities and successfully impact diverse communities. She also supports the integration of diversity, equity, inclusion and global strategies across core operational and programmatic areas of the YMCA community engagement work. Trang graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in human development and a minor in anthropology.
