WORK EXPERIENCE Feb 2006–now - Director, Human Resources, Electronic Arts, Vancouver, Canada Leadership of the HR functions at our Vancouver and Montreal game studios, EA Games Canada. Key strategic initiatives include: development of the EA Games Nintendo Strategy, growth of the Montreal studio and utilization of Montreal as an in-sourcing low cost development center Oversight and leadership for HR operations in Canada, EA Pan-Canada. Alignment of key processes and sharing of best practices across our Canadian studios. Accomplishments include the kick-off of job re-classification, roll-out of JFMs, formation of a compensation & benefits committee, integration of the Bioware studio into EA, launch of EA Cares Community Outreach across Canada and significant progress facilitating internal mobility between studios. Functional HR Leadership and business partnership with Black Box executive team, EA Black Box. Led the studio through significant business success (over 1M revenue and 500K profit per employee) and difficult change including new leadership, a significant layoff, facility closure and subsequent move.
