Bio

After graduating in Cultural Mediation – Central and Eastern European Languages, I moved to Austria for my Master’s degree. My stay abroad was supposed to be temporary, yet, by now, it has been nine years. I am a passionate hard worker, a faster and curious learner as well as a great team player with a friendly and customer-oriented attitude. I am always looking for new challenges and growing opportunities. Thanks to several experiences abroad I’ve developed excellent communication and cross-cultural skills. With regard to the Climate debate, I am interested in the topics of climate justice and the development of new narratives by employing the arts. There is namely a broad agreement in the environmental sector about what we need to do – transition to clean energy, remediate pollution, restore habitats, and protect communities from the impacts of climate change. However, how we get from where we are to where we need to go is not so obvious or simple. Policies, technology and investment alone will not be enough to address it and enable the necessary just transition to a post-carbon society. We would need hearts, minds and a shift in our cultural values to make the transition happening. Arts have the power to transcend personal, cultural, economic boundaries and trigger individual and collective processes in which existing opinions can be challenged. Arts can emotionally engage people, support a cultural values’ shift and, therefore, bring meaningful change and action. They create that base of intellectual understanding, emotional involvement and alignment as well as collective experiencing by making the issue tangible, visible and personal. Arts help to communicate the already existing information differently, trigger empathy and activate a deeper and passionate “caring”.
