Bio
I am a senior in high school at the Denver School of Science and Technology. Throughout my high school career, I have studied many different subjects, which have allowed me to be involved with many opportunities. As a sophomore, I became involved with the Women’s Foundation of Colorado as a member of the Girl’s Leadership Council. We granted large sums of money to foundations around the city working to prevent girls’ dropout rates. At the beginning of my junior year, I became involved with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science as a Paleobotany Assistant to the Paleontology Department, as well as the head curator, Kirk Johnson. As a rising senior, I traveled to Peru with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, in partnership with Harvard University. Through my internship there, I researched the ancient Moche people using anthropology, archaeology, and geology techniques. In my free time, I am a tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, modern, lyrical, and contemporary dancer, as well as an assistant dance teacher. I love to pass on my love of the art form to my students and teach them to dance with their hearts. I am currently serving on the Youth Board of TEDxMileHigh, the largest TEDx event in Denver, CO.
