Nathan Morris scaled his first roof at age 12, and has been climbing the roofing business ladder ever since. As a laborer for his family’s roofing operation, Nathan learned everything there was to know about the technical aspects of the job. Soon, however, he found himself gravitating toward the business side of roofing. He quickly rose through the ranks of his family’s business, Midwest Coating, Inc., working as an estimator, a project manager, and, finally, vice president of the company. Having worked at every level of the roofing business, Nathan found himself ready to embark on a new challenge. He and Keith Richards ventured out on their own to open Meridian Roofing Solutions, a company built on the philosophy of dedication to serving its customers with quality products, supporting and respecting its employees and their families, and making a positive impact in the communities in which it serves. This isn’t just a business philosophy; it’s a way of life that Nathan strives to embrace each day. He demonstrates his work ethic and dedication by way of his hobby – participating in Ironman competitions. He values family life – he and his wife, Annie, a teacher in the Shawnee Heights district, spend most of their free time chasing after their darling toddler, Elyse. He shows his community-oriented nature by serving in a variety of roles including Chairman of the Board for Fast Forward Topeka, board member for the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce, board member for Heartland Visioning, and graduate of Leadership Topeka. In addition to being a husband, father, Ironman, entrepreneur, and community volunteer, Nathan works tirelessly to stay on the cutting edge of the roofing industry. He is trained and certified in a variety of installation methods and techniques, and focuses on offering his clients the best possible roofing solutions available. The 12-year old boy who climbed his first roof so long ago had no way of knowing that one day he’d be presiding over his own roofing operation, but Nathan is ready to use those years of experience to put Meridian Roofing Solutions to work for its customers, its employees, and the Topeka community.
