I am currently the Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations for the College of Community Health Sciences at The University of Alabama. In addition, I organize continuing medical education for the College. Previously, I was the College's Communications Specialist. I am also the producer of a film podcast called Aspect Radio. Previously, I have worked for Alabama Public Radio, The Crimson White (newspaper), and a local chiropractor (okay, my father).

learning, whether it's useful in my day-to-day life or not. I never feel satisfied with my current knowledge. I love to be challenged in my beliefs, and I give myself permission to change my mind.

Literacy and creativity is everything when it comes to education. If we can teach children to read and think critically, we can prepare them for the rest of their life, whether it's high school, college, being in the workforce, being active politically, or being a good citizen.
