An idea worth spreading

Sudan faces a wide range of environmental, social and natural resource challenges such as deforestation, land degradation, loss of biodiversity and habitat, air, land and water pollution, conflicts over dwindling natural resources, food insecurity, waste problem and urban sanitation. All of these issues are exacerbated by climate change and hinder sustainable development in Sudan. Severe weather, inequality in the distribution of resources, especially clean water and water conflict between the Nile Basin countries, desertification in northern Sudan, the problem of unhealthy mining for citizens in gold mining areas and the use of liquorice to clean gold, which produces lethal substances that cause cancer A social and political problem, as well as an environmental problem. Unjust regimes that continue to cause climate collapse, such as economic growth at any cost, also exacerbate current oppression and further marginalize the poorest and most vulnerable communities. This means that many people are facing multiple crises, making it difficult to deal with the effects of climate collapse, let alone to get a seat at the table when it comes to designing solutions.
