I'm passionate about

I'm deeply passionate about making a difference in my community and beyond. I believe in the power of advocacy, particularly for the rights of young people, and in the transformative impact of education and empowerment. My heart lies in serving humanity, in striving to create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and succeed. This passion drives me to work tirelessly towards positive change, to uplift those who are marginalized, and to advocate for a future where every individual's potential is recognized and nurtured.

An idea worth spreading

I have always imagined a world where kindness is the default mode of interaction. A world where kindness is not about grand gestures or elaborate acts; it's about a simple, everyday show of love for your fellow human. It could be holding the door open for someone, offering a smile to a stranger, or lending a helping hand when it's needed most. This idea, this concept of a kindness revolution, has the power to transform our communities, our societies, and our world. It's a ripple effect that starts with each one of us, spreading outwards and touching the lives of countless others. So, let's make kindness cool again. It is high time we made it the norm rather than the exception. Because in a world that can sometimes feel cold and indifferent, kindness is the one thing that can warm even the coldest of hearts.

The TED story

From the moment I discovered TED talks as a teenager, I felt something change in me. The stories, the ideas, and the sheer power of human connection resonated deeply. I knew I wanted to be part of this incredible platform for Ideas Worth Spreading. What has fascinated me most is how every problem you face in this world has a solution in at least one TED or TEDx talk. Again, the power of ideas. Fast-forward to today, I am an active participant in the TEDx community. Being the TEDxRegina Licensee is a responsibility and a privilege. It is the opportunity to curate events that bring together speakers and attendees who are passionate about sparking change and inspiring action. Brené Brown's "The Power of Vulnerability." is my favorite TED/TEDx talk. It reminds me of the strength that lies in embracing our vulnerabilities and owning our stories. The talk continues to inspire me personally and shape the way I approach my work with TEDxRegina and my journey in life. Through my involvement with TEDx events and my ongoing commitment to sharing powerful ideas, I aim to contribute to a world where voices are heard and meaningful change is a reality.

Things you might not know

Copywriting. I have a knack for putting words together that grab people's attention and keep them hooked. Whether crafting an ad, a social media post, or even just a catchy slogan, I've got a way with words that get the message across loud and clear. I've always had this natural talent for understanding what makes people tick, what gets them excited, and what makes them want to take action. It's like I can see into their minds and know exactly what they need to hear to make them sit up and pay attention. And it's not just about stringing together fancy words or using complicated language. No, it's about getting straight to the point, speaking directly to people's emotions, and convincing them that whatever it is I'm selling or promoting is precisely what they've been looking for.
