Bio
David Bowermaster is a versatile communications strategist, storyteller, writer, and collaborator. He empowers global leaders in philanthropy, social change, technology, law, and policy to use their voice to achieve their goals. Prior to launching Fireside Strategy in January 2024, he led communications for the Giving Pledge and the Philanthropic Partnerships team at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He directed communications for the
Raikes Foundation and handled legal and online privacy issues at Microsoft. Dave began his career as a journalist covering legal affairs, politics and business at MSNBC, the Seattle Times and US News and World Report. He was a Fulbright scholar and has degrees from the University of Chicago and Colorado College.
