Bio

Founder of the Stayhood Foundation, where we focus on mentoring youth through arts, education, and entertainment, while providing returning citizens with the assistance of reentry to society through mentoring and business development. I’ve founded ETE which is Economics through Edutainment (education + entertainment) with the belief that our city can be greatly impacted by diverse entertainment and cultural educational activities. As founder of Stayhood Community Center, we provided the North Main Street area of Danville with activities to assist in crime prevention and reduction. I currently serve as a Councilman for the City of Danville.

I'm passionate about

Seeing people happy as long as their happiness is tied to the betterment of society.

An idea worth spreading

Every idea is worth spreading, however, my desire to unite communities through diverse entertainment will expedite cultural acceptance.

The TED story

My TED story is simple, but nevertheless just as impactful as the most complex story. As I watch TEDTalks and TEDx stories/video I began believing that Danville has unique stories, especially when we consider the resurgence of a Mill Town without a Mill. The mill shutdown nearly 15 years with over 20,000 people having worked there at its peak. After a depression, and through resiliency that mill town has slowly come back alive. This is when I realized our story is worth being told. Just as the resilience of our community has stories, so does the individual contributor. Now we look to share more stories of our unique small city and bright individuals.
