Bio

I am an entrepreneur, investor, and advisor with a focus on cloud and data-driven transformation. I started my career as a software developer 25 years ago and have worked in many different roles and with many different businesses across Europe and North America. In 2013, I co-founded and became a CTO of an AWS services partner, TriNimbus. TriNimbus went on to become the first AWS Premier partner in Canada and helped many organizations in Canada and the US to adopt cloud technologies and transform their IT and application development processes through the adoption of DevOps automation and cloud native architectures and services. In 2018 TriNimbus joined a PE-backed business, Onica, and the joint business became the largest AWS partner in North America. Rackspace acquired Onica at the end of 2019. In 2020 I co-founded and became a CEO of a Snowflake services partner, Infostrux. We're focusing on building data-focused solutions using cloud technologies. Our mission at Infostrux is to empower organizations to innovate with data, creating trusted and efficient solutions. We're one of the fastest growing Snowflake partners in North America and are working with a variety of businesses to help them develop their data strategy, implement data lakes and data warehouses to support their analytics solutions and enable advanced use cases for their data through data science and data applications running on Snowflake's Data Cloud and the underlying infrastructure cloud services like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

I'm passionate about

I love learning. I am curious about many things, but particularly human nature and how our minds work. I enjoy solving problems and really like bringing talented teams together, enabling them to work on interesting challenges.

An idea worth spreading

I am very interested in data because it helps me make better decisions. Without data we all have to rely on guesswork all the time. I like coming up with hypotheses and experiments to test them out, and then using data to decide which ones are successful and worth implementing. I think businesses should be open to running experiments and measuring outcomes so they can make decisions that improve their business through better processes, more innovation, optimizing operations, etc. Without data, that is really hard. Moreover, collecting data without creating the ability for different teams to try different approaches, measure relevant outcomes, and make data-driven decisions, limits an organization’s opportunity to unlock the value of their data.
