Rowan has been chasing hackers and computer viruses since he was sixteen years old and with his technical background and his passion for keeping the Internet safe, he has risen to senior executive ranks at the world’s leading security company. He holds patents in security technology, but he looks well beyond the inner workings of software and never forgets that he’s fighting cybercriminals. He also is an adventurer and renaissance man who has taken up oil painting, opened an L.A. restaurant and an art gallery in Hollywood, taught himself the piano and most recently, he’s been scaling mountain big mountain peaks.

If we don't take responsibility to make the Internet a safe place, we will not realize the great promise that the Internet has to offer our global community. Education is the first step to improving the safety of the Internet - it is the responsibility of all our network citizens to educate themselves about how to be safe online, and it is the responsibility of those of us in the business of the Internet to drive this education forward.
