Bio
Bennet Tsui is a Hong Kong–based creative entrepreneur and community builder who works at the intersection of advertising, AI and maker culture. Instead of using technology just to optimise clicks, he explores how it can turn complex ideas into simple, human stories that people actually remember. As a curator of cultural and tech experiences and a 3D‑printing enthusiast, Bennet is passionate about creating spaces where parents, young people and creators can experiment, make things together and share what they learn. His vision aligns with TED's belief in "ideas worth spreading": using real‑world experiments in workshops, neighbourhood projects and cross‑disciplinary collaborations to test one core idea—that when communities are given the tools to create, they also discover new ways to care for each other.
I'm passionate about
Building communities where people of all ages—especially parents and young creators—can experiment with technology, make things together, and share knowledge. I believe the best ideas emerge when we create spaces that balance playfulness with purpose, and when we give people the tools to turn their curiosity into tangible projects.
An idea worth spreading
When communities are given the tools to create, they also discover new ways to care for each other. Technology should amplify our capacity for empathy, play and connection—not replace it.
The TED story
I first encountered TED as a student exploring big ideas beyond textbooks. What drew me in wasn't just the talks themselves, but the belief that ideas can transcend disciplines, languages, and borders. Years later, as someone building communities across Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area, and Southeast Asia, I see how powerful it is when people gather not just to listen, but to create together. TED's spirit of "ideas worth spreading" reminds me why I do this work: to turn complex technology and insights into shared experiences that spark curiosity, connection, and care.
