Peter Waldschmidt, the founder and CEO of Gnoso, is an entrepreneur with an enthusiasm for innovative technology. He co-founded TetraData Corporation in 1997, serving as its Chief Technology Officer. While at TetraData, he and his team designed data warehousing and analytics software to give school administrators and teachers better insight into their strengths and weaknesses (i.e. business intelligence for schools). During this period, he and his partners grew the company to be the national leader in K-12 data analysis. During this period TetraData raised venture capital to support its rapid growth and eventually sold the company to Follett Software Corporation, a leading educational software company, in 2006. Peter's desire has always been to research innovative ideas and build businesses from the most promising ones. Through Gnoso, he is doing just that.

I'm passionate about innovation and product design. My desire is to create innovative new products that will make people's lives better.

The most important innovations occur at the intersections between disciplines. That's why it is so important to expose yourself to as many ideas as possible across as many fields of study as possible. Taking these ideas and spreading them is the seed for innovation that can change the world.

I attended TED in 2008. It was an incredible experience. It's one of those things that you have to experience to truly understand. After hearing about the TEDx program, I've help to create the TEDxGreenville conference here in my city. I am looking forward to seeing ideas spread through my city and the world.
