Kathleen Osborne

As Hathaway Brown School's chief external communications officer, Kathleen handles all media relations functions, oversees the school website, coordinates large-scale events, and is editor of the alumnae and admissions magazines. Kathleen joined HB in 2008 after a brief stint at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. Her varied career has included positions in mental health services at a residential treatment center for emotionally disturbed adolescents, and in the psychiatric intensive care unit of an inner-city hospital. She also has been a customer service trainer for an insurance company, and a police and education beat reporter for a daily newspaper. She has spent much of her professional life as a freelance writer, editor, and public relations specialist and she had her own consulting firm for 10 years, with clients ranging from start-up businesses to Fortune 100 companies. Her work has appeared in a number of regional and national publications, including Industry Week, The Plain Dealer, The Columbus Dispatch, The Morning Journal, Cleveland Magazine, Ohio Magazine, Northern Ohio Live, and Inside Business. Kathleen and her husband, Steve Gleydura, live in Cleveland with their three children.
