The TED story

I quickly fell in love with the TED talk format and their sharing through videos online. Like many people, the first I saw was Ken Robinson's famous talk 'Do Schools Kill Creativity.' As an educator I was hooked, and I've looked to TED for so much personal learning since. I've had the pleasure of founding and directing TEDxKitchenerED, which has gone through two very different events now. The first was quite small and hosted at the school I teach at. It came together very quickly and I'm very proud of it. The experience pushed me to dive deeper into TEDx, which led me to apply to and attend TEDActive in 2015 - this was a transformative experience for me as I learned a lot about TEDx and met many amazing people. I've taken that experience and looked to grow out TEDxKitchenerED since.
