TED in the curriculum. The opportunity to organize TED events have so much to offer High School and University curricula and I want to see it implemented in amazing ways!

I took a class about "Storytelling and TED" on a whim and it changed my life dramatically. As an educator, I saw from the prospective of student what engaging TED and TEDx events can do to learning. In short, I begged to be involved and 6 months later, I was co-teaching the course. Working with a dynamic event is a perfect way to get students engaged in active learning where they communicate with many different audiences, problem solve at every point, and see the fruition of their hard work at the main TEDx event. Also, the possibilities for community creation with TEDx are endless on the local, national, and global level. We are hosting a TEDxUniversity Organizers Conference in March where we hope to share resources and learn from each other how to best create a sustainable university model for TEDx.

I make homemade candy every year at Christmas. If I never had to worry about money, I would just make candy, all day every day. Homemade chocolate covered cherries are my specialty.
