Jacinta Carboon
Project Director Women and Money
National Australia Bank (NAB)
Joined NAB in 2006
As Project Director Women and Money, Jacinta is responsible for leading and implementing NAB’s strategy to empower women economically. This includes improving women's business and financial knowledge and skills and identifying ways to give them greater confidence around financial issues and opportunities.
Jacinta is currently leading the development of a social venture focussed on empowering women economically. This social venture will be known as ‘Start Counting’. The program is designed for women across Australia aged 25- 54 yrs. It integrates life wisdom and money wisdom and will drive positive behavioural change for many women putting them in control of their life.
In her previous role at NAB Jacinta managed NAB’s Arts & Community sponsorships. In this role she managed high level partnership with the Australian Ballet, the Alannah & Madeline Foundation and the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
Prior to joining NAB Jacinta was at Telstra where she was the National Manager of the high profile Telstra Business Women’s Awards and the Telstra Small Business Award. Jacinta also had a variety of senior corporate sales and marketing roles at Telstra including marketing manager of Telstra’s sponsorship of the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
Jacinta has a Bachelor of Business, Marketing & Economics, Swinburne University, is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is on the Advisory board of the Australian Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
