About david

Bio

I'm a chicago-born writer, long-term resident in france and the uk. A recovering academic too. Have written about houses, einstein, voltaire, emilie du chatelet (who taught voltaire most of what he knew), politics, fairness, communications, being a jerk, +not+ being a jerk; now am in the middle of writing about resets

I'm passionate about

cinnamon babke. good histories. gossiping with friends.

The TED story

Things you might not know

I've been a kickboxing instructor for many years. Also grew up with five book sisters. Both excellent training for enjoying conversation
