I have been fairly good in academics right from my school days. With great effort, I was able to crack the competitive IIT-JEE (Joint Entrance Exams for the Indian Institutes of Technology) to get into IIT Gandhinagar. I study Electrical Engineering at IIT Gn; currently the 2014-15 academic term would be the third year of my stay at this institute. My research interests lie in the domain of Artificial Intelligence, particularly the area of Evolutionary Computing. In the summer of 2014, I completed a research journal paper which is currently under review based on the identification of Hammerstein Systems using a Cuckoo search algorithm. Besides my studies, I am inspired and fascinated by new and innovative ideas. TED talks have always been a gigantic source for such ideas. Besides, I love to read books, although I have managed to finish only a few. Currently I am into the organising of the TEDxIITGandhinagar; which I hope will help me develop in various dimensions of my personality. I aspire to get into research after my bachelors from IIT as I have found my passion and inclination for the same.

Some years back I read the book 'The Secret' by Rhonda Byrne which describes this universal law of attraction. The law states that what happens with you is a result of your thoughts - current or past ones. In simple words 'Thoughts become Things'. The author along with numerous co-authors has very well justified this hypothesis by several real life events. I found this idea really amazing and it is something I love to share with people around me.
