About Aloha
Bio
A doctoral student, teacher and photographer, I have always been fascinated by flow and creativity. At present, 2009, I am studying creativity in cross-cultural contexts for the third-culture kid. Being a TCK myself, I am captivated by the problem solving experiences in children who have to problem-solve in two, sometimes three cultures.
I'm passionate about
Learning and creativity
An idea worth spreading
Home culture and school culture intersect and interact to produce a unique creative stance or attitude. Kids who have been or are being raised with a home culture which frames creativity differently from their school culture, e.g. kids in international schools in Asia, necessarily must problem solve in both cultures, creating their own stance on creativity as a third culture creativity.

The TED story
I first saw Ken Robinson's talk on creativity while I was beginning my post-graduate studies. I quickly graduated to one TED talk a day, always fascinated by the minds at work here, and the patterns of thought and creativity that emerge the more I engage in the talks.
