Bio
A 16-year-old, multi award-winning change maker, social entrepreneur and researcher dedicated to challenging injustices through the use of law.
Sometimes there's a need to use the law, taking legal action and involving oneself with social action projects to bring about positive changes in society. This is one of the reasons why Monty is inclined to study Law.
As a mnemonist & world memory champion, he's also the youngest in the UK with the most world records, currently holding 5 Guinness World Records for world memory challenges. Monty has a penchant for conducting obscure memory feats, learning & reciting texts in foreign languages, including Aramaic and reciting the entire 13th century Magna Carta in Latin.
An accomplished public speaker, he's spoken at public events and at the age of 14, presented his 55,000-word thesis to CAMHS.Digital and University of Manchester Psychology staff. Hr later presented to world leaders at the United Nations in Geneva and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Mentoring.
Monty engaged thousands of children across several schools in his ground-breaking research and was recognised with the Prime Minister’s Points of Lights Award, the Diana Award & the British Citizen Youth Award for services to the community & charity.
At the age of 14, he founded the UK registered charity Young Active Minds to inspire new, fun & effective learning activities using his memory techniques. He's now a charity trustee.
The charity aims to promote education & mental health awareness throughout all schools & community groups, irrespective of current attainment levels or cultural diversity of the students.
In his spare time, Monty enjoys fitness writing. At the age of 7, he became the UK’s youngest bestselling author with his fictional novel. He's currently writing ‘The Art of War in the 21st Century,’ a modern-day interpretation of Sun Tzu’s 5th century BC military treatise.
Monty is presently studying A-Levels in Law, Psychology, Government & Politics and Religious Studies & Ethics at Runshaw College and is an active member of the Law Academy, the Debating Think Tank, an #iWill Campaign Ambassador & heavily involved with the United Nations.
The national media has reported upon many of his projects over the last few years, with widespread coverage on BBC & ITV News, radio and both broadsheet & tabloid newspapers.

An idea worth spreading
Memory isn't predicated on a person's level of intelligence. It's something quite separate and unique for each individual.
I spent a long time researching memory and looking into different methods and techniques for perfecting both memory retention and memory recall. What I quickly discovered was that the brain is just like any muscle and in the same way that you can increase your muscular strength by regularly working out at the gym, you can stimulate and grow your memory by performing quick daily exercises.
