It is time for humanity to be at Peace with Nature. However, our insatiable quest for economic growth ignores the cost of the Natural Capital which is often destroyed. Nature could absorb these costs when there was large Nature and small humanity. That is no longer the case. The solution is that a formal "Peace Treaty with Nature" be created. Places in the world where humans and nature can both live and thrive. But who would negotiate a Peach Treaty where the occupying aggressor is permitted to do business as usual. Is it fair that a scarlet macaw or jaguar needs to drink water contaminated by human trace hormones, and who should be the fiduciary for nature?
