I'm a 21 year old university student pursuing a degree in psychology at the American College of Greece-Deree located in Athens.My areas of interest vary and include education, communication, and the arts. I currently work as a peer learning facilitator at my university and I love to play guitar and watch theatrical productions on my free time.Other facts about me include me being the middle child in a family of five.

I have always been interested in learning and acquiring more knowledge on topics I am not familiar with because this is were I find the most challenge. I enjoy divining into topics that have some Interdisciplinarity whether that is obvious from the point I approach them or I am able to make the connections with material I have learned.

As someone aspiring to be in the field of psychology one of the ideas I consider worth spreading is the de-stigmatization of mental health issues. People need to be able to discuss openly such an important aspect of their life so as to raise awareness and create a community that supports rather than considers these issues a taboo.

I came across TED some years ago and started watching TEDTalks on youtube and I was immediately drawn to the whole culture surrounding TED and how interesting speakers could explain the most hard to grasp concepts with such ease. As an active member of the academic community of Deree I wanted to challenge myself and try to bring the TED values within our institution.

What most people don't know about me is that I am very interested in greek folklore dancing. I have been dancing since the age of 5 and had the opportunity to represent Greece in an international festival.
