About Ezra
Bio
Ezra Horton is a student at Deerfield High School in Deerfield, Illinois. In 2019, Ezra co-founded the TEDxYouth@DHS event bringing the TEDx format of knowledge sharing to his high school. Ezra is passionate about educational innovation. He is a member of the District 113 Education Foundation board helping to provide funding to support innovation in education. As a member of Deerfield High School's Genocide Commemoration Day planning committee, he helped found an interactive research project on the Rwandan Genocide-later featured by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Through his work with TEDx, Ezra has helped provide a platform for students and staff to talk about important issues facing society-from the mental health crisis to political polarization.
