A proactive social development practitioner with over ten years of varying work experience in development work, social research, monitoring & evaluation, and project management. Research interest includes: Local Governance, Integrated Development Planning, Social Policy, Citizenship, Democracy, and Participatory development (with special focus on the spaces/institutions that shape policies within differing local contexts in Africa). Koketso Marishane is an obsessed cosmopolitan Educational Arts & ICT activist from Ga-Marishane in South Africa who’s, for quite a long while now, been subconsciously active in the advancement of the Pan-African Vision as lately as subscribed to by world leaders. Without much knowledge of his actions, he’s tried in most times to shift his focus to more profitable endeavours in various sectors of which he succeeded with lesser spiritual satisfaction. As a result, being a sojourner like he’s, he ignored natural signals channelling him from his visions towards his calling thus ended up experiencing earthly fatalities, which may be confused for conspiracy theories yet seeming mythological during the fickle tides of seasonal transformation. To remain calm, pen and paper became his best friends, doing artistic endeavours which included articles and poems which led him to literary emperors in the global space. To date, he can proudly say, he’s seen further because for a long time, he’s been standing on shoulders of giants. To date, he’s contributed to various ICT, Arts and Educational settings in different capacities around the world and his works have been published in all seven continents in the world winning him various accolades. He’s affiliated with some of the biggest various progressive organisations in the world promoting good orderly developmental governance. So much can be said about him, but, here’s a summary: He’s a social entrepreneur more on a facilitation side. He’s a lover of the arts, especially the performing scene. He’s a writer, editor and columnist with various publications and runs book reading sessions that rock! Koketso is a walking dictionary, a moving library and a standing bookshelf. The minute his mouth opens you’d realise that he’s a creator of conflict, a sculptor of drama and inventor of character. He has multiple personalities that articulates through voices. He is crazy, handsome and intelligent. On a general view, Koketso has like everyone else made so many mistakes, so many bridges burnt unconsciously with lesser regrets and yes, so much experience to understand that behind him is infinite power, before him is endless possibility, around him is boundless opportunity. On a smaller scale, he’s nothing extraordinary, simply your average everyday undiscovered humble world leader and friend. His life is colourful as a living miracle
