An idea worth spreading

Sharing the gift of imagination to aid in healing children who have experienced trauma. I volunteer for Bookwallah. Bookwallah is a fairly new organization that creates Bookwallah Libraries and safe havens in orphanages in developing countries. Bookwallah also donates and replenishes Magic Crate Libraries to international refugee camps and shelters as well as traditionally underserved Chicago neighborhoods' convenience stores. Chicago is our home base. Our founder, Seena Jacob, has given a TEDX talk about our goal of using storybooks to help heal children who have experienced trauma. Through studying the orphans utilizing our libraries and interacting with our volunteers, we are attempting to measure our libraries' psychological impact.
