Bio
John B. Winsor's proudest lifetime achievement is being the husband, father and grandfather to a wonderful wife, three great children and eight amazing grandchildren.
Winsor is also the author & founder of Dial-a-Story, author of Love of the Hunt, national magazine articles and anthologies.
He is writing "Redemption", an adventure novel about family secrets - deceit, betrayal, murder and love.
He is General Partner of Winsor Communications LLLP, formerly a media business of daily newspapers, national magazines, Internet sites, printing, audio, radio and satellite communications companies. Winsor Communications now concentrates on investments.
Winsor serves as co-chair of the ATLAS Advisory Board, past chair of the School of Journalism and the University of Colorado Foundation Board. He is a past president of the Inland Daily Press Association and the Greater Yellowstone Coalition.
With his leadership the Coalition won national legislation to create Wyoming's first Wild and Scenic River and, with President Clinton's help, defeated the Noranda/New World Mine proposal that would have polluted our nation's first national park, Yellowstone.
The Winsors put an easement on their Hancock Ranch to conserve the natural character and prevent future development of their land near Yellowstone National Park.
A graduate of Lawrence University, Winsor also holds a MS from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
