Bio
Born and raised in Tijunana B. C., Mexico. I am a mother, a wife, and a teacher. I am also an English as a Second Language Coordinator. I began my career as a teacher back in 1989 at the age of nineteen. I have a degree in ESL from Universidad Autonoma de Baja California, and a Master's degree in Education with a focus on special education. At Instituto Mexico de B. C. I have pioneerd different school programs such as the mobile English class library, international field trips, and am in the process of beginning a chess club.

I am passionate about education, being well informed with the facts and spreading positive energy.
Through education we can guarantee a better future. By being well informed we can understand, learn, and maybe even solve some of the difficult issues we are faced with today; and by spreading positive energy our everyday interactions are more respectful, pleasant and open.

The TED story
This event will become my TED story. I have always loved viewing TED talks. I've learned a lot from them. Organizing this event during a pandemic has really tested our teamwork and abilities. Our team has learned a lot from each other and we have grown to really appreciate one another.
Things you might not know
Staying calm in an emergency, a very good listener, and I have a soft spot for the underdog in any situation.
