I live in York, Maine with my husband and two small children, Cooper and Isabelle. For work, I’m an integral part in my husbands family businesses working along side my mother-in-law, Judy at Burnette’s Campground and helped build the Wiggly Bridge Distillery award winning brand from the ground up. When the kids are napping or asleep for the night I write, illustrate, and publish children’s books. My published ones are, The Robot & The Ballerina and I Love You To Planet Peas & Carrots. I have my eyes set on starting a foundation in the future that will help inspire, motivate, and show kids that with desire and grit you can achieve your dreams. I grew up in a very supportive family where my mom and dad, Marc and Nicole, set a solid foundation for me to be the person I am today. I have a deep seeded desire to help and do something good in this world. I often get the question of why I’m doing TEDxYorkBeach when I have so much going on and my answer is, you make time for the dreams and opportunities that matter most. Being able to inspire and enlighten people matters to me. I love to give and I love to be a positive force in people’s lives. This opportunity does not come around every year. I have dreams and big ones. I would not be able to accomplish 1/4 of my dreams if it weren’t for the people who support me day in and day out. Nothing would be possible without my husband, David, both of our families and the friends who cheer me on. I’m hoping this is the first of many TEDx events I am able to be part of.
