First female in my lineage to go to college, having put myself through school. Things have changed so very quickly from my mother’s generation. I hope to help set up success for the upcoming generation, both male and female, through the future work I do. In the early 70s I volunteered for integration prior to mass implementation. This move developed my creativity more than anything, when you move with your belief system no matter how difficult it is it can open your horizons. Joining the black dance troupe: Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble led to having Cleo as an amazing mentor and to a dance scholarship for college. I studied anthropology and archaeology in order to develop my critical and creative thinking. My work now centers on how creative human culture can inform and contribute to influential change.
