After almost 2 decades of synchronized swimming and training as an olympic water polo player, Jacqui Tichenor was ready for something more provoking to bridge her athleticism with creativity, and wanted to use this to affect the world around her, espacially children! She began 10 years ago as an ArcheDream for Humankind founding member. ADHK is a blacklight mask and dance theater company originating from Philadelphia, pa. It was founded ten years ago by a South African Man looking to bridge differences in culture by using masks created with in the range of the human condition. In collaboration, these Archetypes, with out words, tell a story that trancend cultural boundries. Jacqui directed ADHK's "Deep Blue" which toured for five weeks in Taiwan with an audience of over 5000 kids, preschool to adult. She has worn many a hat for ADHK, including assistant artistic director under artistic director and creator of ADHK, Alan Bell, script writer, production manager, assistant director, booking agent, and mask actor. Outside of the theater, she has developed dozens of conflict resolution, mask making and mask acting workshops bringing confidence to hundreds of at risk inner city youths. A powerful athelete with incredible compassion and boundless enthusiasm. Jacqui is self taught and loves laughing, espacially while taking the next risk.

You can’t pour it into a bowl. Weigh it to see if yours is heavier than mine. Lean it up against a wall, like they did in gym class, to see if it’s grown an inch or two. Put it into some pants. Maybe it’s gotten fatter then the last month. Sprinkle some into the earth, watch it grow, and see if you could win a homemaker prize for the largest between the two of you. Add the ingredients, roll it around, leave it in the oven to expand when it was just as small as what’s in your hand. Put it in water and watch it take form, where once it was as small as a pill. Love. How can it be measured? How do you look at it? Touch it? Where does it exist? How do you know your love equals that of your lover? However much you put into it does it grow like a tree or child? Does it learn to speak if you feed it, talk to it, or does it grow fruit you pick and eat to get what you need? Where does it go when you leave it? When do we know we've found it or for that matter lost it?

Hair. I work as a hair dresser during the day to support being a theater and community kindness junky. As a costume designer, I see hair as a textile and now make headpieces for ADHK.
