Robert Capps

Robert Capps is a writer, journalist, editor, and occasional filmmaker and podcast producer. He is a contributor to the New York Times Magazine and is the former Head of Editorial at WIRED, where he oversaw all editorial for the magazine, wired.com, video, podcasts, and live events. Robert previously was head of editorial at GDP, a storytelling studio. At GDP he has led editorial projects for Nike, Microsoft, Google, IBM, Lyft, National Geographic, TED, and many others. During his 13-year career at WIRED, Robert's projects won three National Magazine Awards and garnered 12 nominations. His article “Why Things Fail,” won the prestigious Gerald Loeb Award for Distinguished Business and Financial Journalism, and his article “The Good Enough Revolution,” was celebrated in publications ranging from the Economist to the New Yorker and was called "one of the biggest ideas of the year" by the New York Times Magazine.
