Bio
I’m a theatre director turned researcher, communications strategist, and speaker coach, excited to be back at TED working with this year’s mainstage speakers.
After leaving a career in the theatre I co-founded Virtuozo, a boutique training and consulting firm working with a wide range of thinkers, entertainers, scientists and business leaders helping them create more impact with their ideas, their voice, and their presence.
Along with my partner, Abigail Tenembaum, we’ve been working with TED and their speakers on over 30 TED and TED Institute events. Through our experience, we’ve developed a unique methodology on both how to craft content effectively and how to deliver it in a way that utilizes each person’s distinctive qualities.
Like many here at the conference, I have an insatiable curiosity and love to share what I learn. In addition to giving workshops and talks at our clients’ companies, I’ve also lectured at top academic institutions including IMD, Skolkovo, Harvard`s Kennedy School of Government, and currently serve on the faculty for the Global MBA and Zell Entrepreneurship programs at the IDC in Herzliya.
I believe that anyone can become a great communicator given they have the desire, make the time, and are ready to roll up their sleeves and learn.
An active member of EO and father to an inquisitive toddler, I grew up listening to the lyrical tunes of Johnny Mercer in my hometown of Savannah, GA, but now call the enchanting beaches of Tel Aviv home.
