Bio
Anna is a third-year medical student passionate about surgery, public health and medical education. She is also interested in global politics and current affairs, sociology and the world around her. She likes traveling, learning new languages and meeting inspiring, unique individuals that can change her view about the world. Most of all, she is eager to build a platform to share ideas worth spreading!
I'm passionate about
I am passionate about free education because, as Nelson Mandela said, education is the most powerful weapon to change the world!
An idea worth spreading
My idea worth spreading is that while all humans should be born equal, society is built upon structural inequalities that make our lives, our possibilities and our dreams inherently different. For us to be actually equal, we need to work on challenging those structural inequalities and build up a new, fairer society.
The TED story
I firstly learnt about TED as it was always organised in my high school and it always was an event that would bring the whole community together: students, teachers, parents and the outside world. It seemed like a great initiative to co-organise in my university, with the same idea of creating a connection between the campus and the community that hosts us.
Things you might not know
People don't know I'm good at picking up languages and musical instruments very easily. It gives me the chance to connect with so many different people!
